The Fruits of my Labour. :)
ok... this is pretty much my first blog EVER!! lol so bare with me. here's how this all started. i went to my friends place and his brother had a 91 Nissan NX 1600, red, t-tops and the whole 9 yards. anyways, turns out he was fed up with it, it wouldn't pass emmitions for him, i fell in love with it, so we worked out a deal. i had just built a Dual Core computer with a gb ram flat panel monitor and all that good stuff as a second computer for the basement, where i live, below my parents.. ha ha! anyways, we worked out a deal, i traded my comp for the car. yay me! now i got a car! couldn't wait to tell my friends! so i told my friend Burns about the car i just got and i didnt get the reaction i thought i'd get.. he was like "which car.. the red NX?? NO!!" i was like what? so he shows me a video he captured on his phone of my friends brother picking up the rear end of the NX about 8 feet in the air with his bobcat, and dropping it on the ground.. yup.. so i look at the rear end of my car in the trunk, under the plastics, and both shock towers are totalled.. so i ended up just driving the car for a couple months as a backroad beater, kinda fell in love with the little car. so i looked in the local classifieds, found myself a 93 NX 1600 with its own set of problems for a good price.. so i bought it. :) so once i got the 93NX home, gave it a once over, found out what it needed, and ended up using the 91 NX for parts! all and all i ended up rebuilding the 93 NX by replacing the transmission, replace the doors, hatch, front fender, interior, DASH cause the 91 tranny didnt work on the 93 dash cluster, so i pretty much frankenstiened the 91 and 93 dash together so they work good. and, i replaced all the brake lines from the front to the rear.. this spring i got a body job in order for her. right now my 93 NX is red, blue, and grey.. lol. i'm putting it jet black with tons of clear cote ;) :D ANYWAYS were nearing the question i have.. ok. here it is. so my car is currently a 1993 Nissan NX 1600.. Now.. my friend has a 1997 Nissan Quest with a 3.0 Liter engine. would the engine out of the quest be able to fit in my 93 NX?? like i know i'll have to replace and modify the wiring and the ECM and maybe like motor mounts, beef up the front suspention, but what i wanna know is, like is it physically possible to fit under the hood?? well, if anyone takes the time to read this and post a reply, cool. hope to hear from you all!!!
